Riesling – Now one of the most widely planted grape varieties with an increasing trend. Usually included in the “top three” white wine varieties, it is a variety that is terroir – expressive.

The German Rieslings tend to exhibit apple and tree fruit notes with noticeable level of acidity, typical aromas of flowers, tropical fruits and mineral stone. The wines have great ageing potential, often developing smoky, honey notes and taking on a “petrol” character.

Riesling is a versatile wine for food pairing. It can be paired with white fish, seafood and pork, and is one of the few wines that can stand up to stronger flavours and spices of Thai and Chinese cuisine and a wider range of foods.
