Roast Poussin comes alive when paired with the proper wine. The safe choice is a light Pinot Noir. Here I suggest our “Sensas Pinot Noir” from the Languedoc. Versatile and easy drinking with a juicy palate & notes of cherry, plum & raspberry. Well balanced with silky tannins & a vibrant finish. – £14.95

Our “Bourgogne Pinot Noir – Domaine Du Priere” would be another safe choice with a captivating ripe perfume, soft & silky palate with noted of cherry. Light tannins with a ripe finish – £24.00

Roast Poussin is a versatile dish and pairs well with many red and white wines. Those wanting to venture out from safety go for the “Chateau L’Ermitage Auzan Rouge”A blend of Mouvedre, Syrah & Granache”. Exhales notes of red fruits & spices. Serve slightly chilled to bring out its length & generosity – £16.95

Roast Chicken Wine Pairing

Here I suggest the Brouilly Vieilles Vignes from talented wine maker Jean-Paul Dubost. Ripe with red fruits & rounded tannins showing exceptional concentration. A Beaujolais Cru both smooth & refreshing with morello cherry flavours & a light smoky finish.- £19.50

A White Burgundy is never far from the mix. The Macon Lugny from Bouchard would be an ideal accompaniment. Supple, fresh and full of flavour noted for its roundness and unctuousness. Fresh nose offering a lovely bouquet of wild flowers. – £19.50

Slow Roasted Shoulder of Lamb Wine Pairing

A dish full of flavour and lamb being one of the most wine friendly meats is at home with red Bordeaux as it is with Rioja. But I’m going for one from Ribera Del Duero – The Celeste from Torres, an opulent wine brimming with fruit, body and colour. Delicious, voluptuous aroma with ripe black fruit, a sensuous flavour and impressively persistent – £19.50
