Trip to the Santome Winery

Following our successful and enjoyable trip, a brief outline of what one of our trips is like.

Our recent trip to the Santome and Ferghettina wineries in Italy was as memorable as ever with six new comers joining us for the first time.

Staying at the Santome winery for two nights we visited the vineyards of Biancade, Conegliano Valdobbiadene, Bosco Coste and Cimadolmo.

Our stay included a tour of the winery and their wine making process and various tastings both technical and over lavish lunches and dinners.

The visit to the Ferghettina winery in Franciacorta was special in every way. Our charming hosts thrilled us with an informative tour round the winery followed by an excellent technical tasting. This was folowed by a six course lunch at a Michelin Star restaurant with their wines to match each course.

Free time in Venice was enjoyed by all with a trip down the Grand Canal followed by cocktails in St Marks Square before dinner.

The last night was spent in Verona with time to explore the city before we headed home.

Plans are under way for trips next year with news of these to follow. To get updates by email of all Wine Circle events, sign up for our Wine Circle Newsletter
